How to Un-Google your Blog

Interested in making the switch from Blogger to WordPress? I know I’ve thought of it in the past. I found a pretty good discussion on this recently.

What is the easy and best way to migrate blogger blog to wordpress?
The blogger blog is doing well and have PR3 and visitors in few thousands, SO without disturbing/making site down, how can I migrate it.

Gee, this might actually make sense somewhere down the line. (I’ve been wanting to split up my political stuff from my tech posts for a while. Some good links and comments follow. Always a nice surprise to see intelligent exchanges of info online. It doesn’t happen enough!

By the way, I’m testing out Windows Live Writer. My template looks awful in here, but this might end up posting ok.

Getting rid of unwanted double scrollbars

Here's a neat tip for CSS that helps get rid of double-scrollbars in IE and works for Firefox, as well:

html {height: 100%;}
body {min-height: 101%;}

Maybe someone will find this useful.

Well, not really. I just thought it sounded funny and dorky. Still, this looks like a cool site worthy of a blog post and a bit more perusing, should I ever get any spare time.

Word of Blog

Word of Blog is a site where you can promote your website/blog or where you can promote the work of others you like.

It's a simple concept, but a nice way to find information or people with similar interests. Unless you've got a lot of free time on your hands, you'll probably want to use the search tool, rather than browse the site.

Who's Visiting My Blog?

Now that I've got a number of posts on the ol' blog and have dropped some crumbs here and there in cyberland, I decided to get myself a page hit counter. A quick Google search and 5 minutes later, I had my own counter.
StatCounter is a free web counter with lots of great features, including providing a map approximating from where your visitors are viewing your site. Pretty cool!
